Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

In short

  • The app has no accounts and no sign-up. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal profile.
  • Your GitLab access tokens stay on your Mac (macOS Keychain) and are used only to talk to your own GitLab. We never receive your tokens or pipeline data.
  • We don't sell your data, show ads, or build advertising profiles.
  • The site uses cookies and analytics for aggregate usage. Purchases are handled by Apple and managed through Adapty.

This Privacy Policy explains how Altessa Solutions Inc. ("Altessa", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the Manifold macOS app (the "App") and the Manifold website (the "Site"). By using the App or the Site, you agree to this Policy.

The Manifold app

No account, no personal data collected by us

The App does not require registration and does not collect information that identifies you personally.

Access tokens

To show your pipelines, the App uses a GitLab personal access token that you provide. The token is stored securely in the macOS Keychain on your device and is sent only to the GitLab server you configured. We do not transmit, receive, or store your tokens on our servers.

Your GitLab data stays on your device

Pipeline, project, and job information is fetched directly from your GitLab to your Mac and displayed locally. It is not routed through, or stored on, any Altessa server. There is no Manifold backend between you and GitLab.

Notifications

Pipeline notifications shown by the App are generated locally on your device.

Subscriptions and purchases

Manifold Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Payments and billing are handled by Apple; we do not receive your payment card or billing details.

We use Adapty to manage and validate subscriptions and to measure subscription performance. Adapty may process purchase and subscription events and technical identifiers associated with your App installation to determine your subscription status. If we enable subscription-related push notifications through Adapty, an anonymous push token for your device may be processed to deliver those messages.

The website

Cookies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Site to function.
  • Analytics cookies — set by our analytics provider to measure aggregate usage.

Where required by law (for example, in the EU/UK), analytics cookies are set only after you consent. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used (for example, which pages are visited and general device/browser type). This may include limited technical data such as your approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this in aggregate to improve the Site and do not use it to identify you.

Hosting logs

Our hosting provider may process standard server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) to deliver and secure the Site.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not show advertising or build advertising profiles.
  • We do not access your GitLab data or tokens.

Third-party services

The following providers may process limited data as described above, under their own privacy policies:

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not maintain accounts or personal profiles, the data we can associate with you directly is minimal. To exercise your rights, or for requests related to analytics or subscription data, contact us at [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data retention

We retain analytics data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, in line with our analytics provider's retention settings. We do not retain your GitLab tokens or data.

International users

The Site and its providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

Manifold is a tool for software developers and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Governing Law

This Policy and any disputes arising out of or related to it are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
