Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Manifold macOS app (the "App") and the Manifold website (the "Site"), provided by Altessa Solutions Inc. ("Altessa", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App or the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or the Site.

1. License to use Manifold

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and to use the Site, for your personal or internal business purposes.

You may not: (a) resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law; (c) remove or alter any proprietary notices; or (d) use the App or Site in any unlawful manner or to infringe others' rights.

2. Your GitLab account and tokens

Manifold connects to GitLab using a personal access token that you provide. You are responsible for keeping your token secure, for choosing an appropriate scope, and for complying with GitLab's own terms of service. When you trigger an action in the App (for example, retrying or cancelling a pipeline), the App performs that action on your behalf against your GitLab using your token. You are responsible for actions you initiate.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Manifold is free to use for its basic functionality. Manifold Pro is an auto-renewable subscription offering additional features. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store, and payment is charged to your Apple ID.

• Free trial. If offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
• Prices and plans are shown at the point of purchase and may change; changes apply to future billing periods in accordance with Apple's policies.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's terms; we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App or Site, interfere with their operation, attempt to circumvent licensing or access controls, or use them in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

5. Third-party services

Manifold relies on third-party services, including GitLab (your instance), Apple (App Store and payments), and Adapty (subscription management). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or behavior of third-party services, including your GitLab instance.

6. Intellectual property

The App, the Site, and the Manifold name, logo, and design are owned by Altessa and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding. "GitLab" is a trademark of GitLab Inc.; Manifold is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitLab Inc.

7. Disclaimers

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that pipeline or other information displayed will be accurate, complete, or timely. You rely on the App at your own risk; do not use it as your sole source of truth for critical operations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Altessa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the App or Site. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App or Site will not exceed the amount you paid us (through Apple) for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

9. Termination

These Terms apply while you use the App or Site. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 6–8) will survive.

10. Changes

We may update the App, the Site, or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located there, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law in your place of residence.

12. Apple App Store — additional terms

These Terms are between you and Altessa only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent the App is downloaded from the Apple App Store, the following also apply:

• Scope of license. Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control and as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
• Maintenance and support. Altessa is solely responsible for maintenance and support for the App; Apple has no such obligation.
• Warranty. On any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Product claims. Altessa, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, and consumer-protection claims.
• Intellectual property. If a third party claims the App infringes their IP rights, Altessa, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation and defense of such claim.
• Legal compliance. You represent that you are not in a U.S.-embargoed country or on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
